Surprise 1. Only two of each utensil - two spoons, two forks, two knives, etc.
Surprise 2. The hot and cold labels on the shower knob are reversed. So if you turn the knob all the way to "hot" to get the hot water to come through, you'll have to wait forever while wondering if the motel has run out of hot water. Almost feels like a prank.
Surprise 3. The body soap dispenser is empty. I had to resort to using the bar soap. Again, almost feels like a prank.
