We stayed at this motel for 5 nights due to a bereavement in the area. The most positive was location, shower hot water, comfy bed.This is definetly not a 4 star hotel. Our negative experiences were: double charge to our credit card, which took 3 days to get full amount refunded! States daily housekeeping - yet sign above bench states please do your dishes! Bed was not made following our 1st night!( girl did not know this was included in housekeeping!) It appears no staff or managment live on site! Parking was always awkward with cars always parked around reception area, making very hard to drive through!
Definitely would not recommend this motel !!- looks great from the outside but very aged and needs alot of attention in the rooms!

Stayed in unit 2. Toilet roll holder missing - just read a review from 4 months ago, and it was missing then - so this is not a recent shortcoming. Ripped curtain from previous review still there too. Shower over bath, but no shower curtain. Room and fittings are tired. Come with enough data that you don't need there unstable wifi. The freezer compartment in the fridge hasn't been defrosted for years and is unusable ((which is a shame because we freeze ice packs for drinks when we're traveling.)

Will not stay here again.

Definitely taken a down turn with International owners. Have stayed under previous owners and it WAS great. Now it’s dirty smelly dirty carpets and mould round bath seal and spa on/off button (gross). Curtain hanging off the rail. No nets for privacy. Will definitely NEVER return. Didn’t deserve CB one star but have to give one to be able to make comments

We have stayed a few times before which was nice but the standard of the rooms have gone down quite a bit. The room had a weird smell and needed a good clean. The bin had not been emptied in the bathroom and open milk from the previous people in the fridge. The shelf in the shower was broken, there was no handle on the bathroom window so we could close it and the shower on the first day was hot but only lukewarm on the second day. We needed to wash the cups and plates before using them as the previous people hadn't cleaned them properly. A very disappointing stay for us.

Our stay at the Ballina was good. Parking at the front was tight coming and going but guests need to learn to park properly.
Unit 12 was great, nice and tidy and so quiet considering the location.
Loved the long pillows so comfortable as well as the bed.
Location was perfect for us.
