Aura is AMAZING! So sweet and so kind! She helped me out so much while here and it was very fun! A new person I met while here gave me her food since she was leaving on night one! Helped out a lot! Just very kind people! The service, hospitality, and support was through the roof, the best I’ve experienced while venturing through New Zealand! Just wanted to say thank you and the company deserves a kind review. Napier isn’t the best though during the cold season. But that does not reflect on the business or the beautiful Aura! :)

This is a hostel with different room options. Perfect location, right in the city center but not on a hill. I had a private room with bathroom. It was great and 1/3 of hotel price. They have 320$/week rates available. The room was very clean, staff was very helpful. Parking is tricky. No check in after 9pm.

Stayed in a private room so cannot comment on the dorm rooms.
I was hesitant to stay here after reading the other reviews however I think that efforts have since been made to improve as the hostel was much better than the reviews suggest.
Kitchen wasn’t spotless but certainly not filthy, smooth check in, clean bathrooms, friendly staff.
Good standard for a hostel

Great location. Nice staff. Unfortunately most toilet seats move around, not secured to toilet. Not very clean bathrooms. Great rooftop area. Shower handle falling off in downstairs bathroom. Trash build up in billiards room bathroom. Overall a nice place but let down by maintenance.

Rooms were nice, beds in dorm were very private and had their own charging station etc. However the kitchen was extremely disgusting and unclean. I have never seen fridges so unclean in my life they were vile. It’s a shame because the rest of the hostel was clean and tidy but I didn’t even want to leave my food in that kitchen. Staff were lovely and very helpful however it was quite hard to get ahold of them sometimes, I assume they were just busy which is understandable. Location wasn’t bad at all, a little bit out of the way but Napier is only small so not too inconvenient. Overall not a bad stay at all apart from the disgusting kitchen.
