Probably best fish and chips in HB.
We stopped in because saw the triple cooked homemade chips sign. Absolutely beautiful will be letting our community know this is the place to go. Thank you, the chips are so unique.

My wife rang in an order for pickup at 5:15 pm (she did that approx an hour ahead of time to coordinate with other food preparation firms a birthday party we were hosting. Upon opening the chips at home we found them to be well overcooked &/or left I the warmer for a long time - NOT good at all folks plus very pricey at $6 per scoop - very disappointing & embarrassing to be serving up for our guests!

I don't know what has happened to my previously favourite f&c shop. We've had food from there 3 times since they moved. Initially we put it down to the new premises, but the food just isn't improving. The gurnard had bones, and the potatoes hadn't been peeled so the chips had a slightly bitter taste, and everything was very overcooked😔

At first glimpse of the gourmet bbq beef burger it looked delicious. A big meaty burger nice fresh bun and salads with a good saucing. Big thick pattie but wasn't an enjoyable beef patty. Being a "gourmet burger" I was expecting a homemade patty or a fresh meat patty but it was a dull gray processed frozen packet patty. It would be a 5 star burger if it had a good patty. Perhaps try a smash patty range. The fried chicken burger had a fish feeling to the chicken with they type of coating used. The pulled pork chips and the bacon loaded chips were OK but wouldn't recommend them. The potato fritter was very oily and had a bit of a strange taste to it that I was unsure if I liked or not. Wouldn't recommend anything of what we ordered at this stage unfortunately but I will be back to try a classic fish and chip meal from here and see how that goes. Would strongly recommend rethinking the choice of beef patty used.

Great local fish and chips! The fish was perfectly cooked and was crispy, the chips were crunchy and delicious, hot dog was lovely and complex, not samey at all, and the meat patty was crunchy and very meaty. Pack options could be better optimised to suit a couple, but otherwise very good. Fried chicken also looked nice however we didn’t order that. Pictures are all my own. I’ve also updated the menu and price list as of a day ago :)
