Japanese Sushi Aozora

This has to be the best authentic Jaoanese Sushi in the country. The Miso soup is beautiful with loads of tofu in it. Thank you for our beautiful lunch today.

Quality cute shop! The owner of this place is a lovely woman who spends time with us to explain her history and teach some characters of her language 🥰 Her husband makes really good sushi 🍣 They were really good !

Aozora has the finest and freshest sushi in the all of New Zealand. It is made with care by the friendly Japanese owners. They have a full range of sushi, with the eel having an exceptionally smooth taste.
I have been coming here on and off over the last 15 years when I come to Napier for work and family visits. Aozora is always a must stop place as you always get freshest Sushi. My father is now regular and he phones in advance to get his favorites freshly made.
The also have homemade miso soup that is full of tofu, seaweed and vegetables - yummy.
They only have limited outside seating, so they are more setup for takeaway but the harbor and beach are close by to enough eating it by the water.

Excellent service and great food at this Japanese restaurant. The sushi pieces are. I e and fresh and the lady welcomed us with kindness and hospitality.
The prices are affordable and pieces are readily available while additional ones can be made on demand.
It was a nice and sunny day so we ate outside. On-street parking is available nearby and an ATM machine is available next block for cash payment.
Great spot to get authentic sushi.

The owner is so friendly, very nice, polite Japanese people. The sushi is the only authentic food in New Zealand! You have to try eel and the prawns.
