Ordered online and when I picked up it felt very light. Is ordered 2 scoops but only got one. Had to wait while more chips were cooked so the first batch were kept warm and not good.

No apology and initially no offer to do more chips (even though I’d paid for them online)

Check your order very carefully before leaving. It’s not cheap here and only getting half what you paid for is a rip off

$42 for 2 scoops 5 fish and 2 hot dogs.

Don’t get me wrong, the food was fresh and taste really good, however the place lets down on portions.
There are other places around with more bang for ya buck.

Ordered 2x scoops, 2x fish, one can of coke. $27.80. Great value. Yum food. And staff were very friendly. 😎. I’d definitely be back.

People seem to like this place. In fact it's listed as the top 2 in Napier and one of the best of the North Island. Unfortunately that was not our experience. The portion of chips for 2 people was barely a handful. See photo. They also tasted soft, soggy and old even though we ate them less than 5 mins after leaving the place. And the fish batter was very unpleasant. Everything tasted of old fryer oil. Really below the standard for fish and chips. We werent asked of we would prefer battered or crumbed and they dont offer grilled which is already a sign this place wouldnt be great. We won't be returning.

Friendly staff, clean premises, crumbed Gurnard was fresh, both the crumbs and fish were absolutely delicious.

I'm a chip connoisseur (addict) and the chips were how every chip shop nationwide should cook their chips - DELECTABLE!
My new go-to when in Napier, highly recommend.
