Friendly, Clean and Great Food . 8am went in for a Hot Chocolate and Mince on Toast. Great friendly service , Best Hot Chocolate with 2 marshmallows and it was very tasty and hot .The Mince on Toast was excellent and cooked incredibly well , it was full of flavor ,the Toast was also good. Very much loved it .Its great to go to an eating establishment that all the staff are happy and want to be there. Thanks and even though im out of town i will be back.

I entered John's Bakery & Cafe at 2.30 today. I noticed a young woman sweeping the floor, I asked when did they close, she said 3.30. Good I had an hour. I ordered and paid for something from the cabinet. I was the only person sitting down in the café the whole time I was there. After taking my order, the café server spent 5 minutes making conversation with an obvious regular client, who bought something and left. Another man came in and said to her “I thought you were leaving early”, she said she was getting ready to do that. After 10 minutes I asked where my food was, she said it won’t be long. After another 10 minutes I went up to the counter and asked where was my food, she was in the kitchen plating the quiche with salad. It took her 20 minutes to heat up my quiche and bring it to me when no one else was in the cafe. I believe this woman was so focused on getting her chores done so she could leave early, and talking to regular clients, she mostly ignored me after I had paid for my food. After bringing me my order, she said “Here you are”, no apology for it taking so long. I felt like a mild inconvenience to this café employee, who obviously does not know the meaning of hospitality.
The food was ok and well presented but my experience was ruined by someone who didn’t really want to be there.

Whats left of a Big Breakfast…. Service, pot of Tea and breakfast was great….. and didnt know what eggs over easy was but the lady at the front of house asked and they were wonderful. Looks like the new Breakfast spot when in the HB thanks for a great start to my day

This cafe is welcoming with lots of space and a great selection.

Their afghan cookies are very very good which is rare and their bacon and eggs are tasty, iv added hash browns/bacon in the past and was happy with the portion I got for the additional cost.

The pancakes are kind of mushy inside so I don't recommend them and unfortunately the poached eggs are sometimes abit over-cooked.

So all and all I do recommend people come here if they want a fast, tasty meal with pleasant service.

Nice large open spaced Cafe with seating inside and out. Friendly fast service.
I liked the vegetarian sandwich except for the balance of filling to bread, the slices were very thick.
I didn't have any luck with the custard square. I found the pastry not crisp and the custard a very mild flavor.
I'll try something else next time.
