Sazio

Went there for my birthday 2 months ago and it was AMAZING with exceptional service. You must order the focaccia bread, the squid, and handmade pasta. We are taking our friend who is in from the UK tomorrow evening. 😊

Awesome Italian restaurant in Hastings CBD. We rocked up on Saturday night in winter without a booking and they managed to squeeze the two of us in no problem. The menu is a good mix of diverse and modern alongside traditional Italian fare. The is also a good selection of wines to choose from by the glass or bottle.

The service was friendly albeit a little stretched when we visited.

I thought that the menu was pretty child friendly - next time we will bring the kids.

Another very enjoyable meal at Sazio - one of our favourite restaurants in the Hawke's Bay. Delicious housemade pastas, the best focaccia we have ever tasted and exceptional service to accompany it all. Thanks again team!

Absolutely loved it! We dined here on our last evening in the Hawkes Bay and would definitely come back again. Owner was so friendly and vibrant, and even had his (I assume) granddaughter helping him wait tables as she wanted to work and she did an excellent job. Waitress superstar already!

Pasta is made in-house and it was delicious, but the Tiramisu was the star of the night. 10/10

Update - still absolutely amazing food and service! Dan and the team went out of their way to plan in advance menu options for one of our group with a number of dietary restrictions. All of us loved our food - from teens to my 80 year old mum whos birthday it was. Honey mustard roast carrots with nuts good enough as a main not just a side dish! Best pork belly I think I have ever eaten! (Sorry, too busy eating the fantastic food to stop and take many pictures!)

The whole team are focused on ensuring you enjoy your experience! Gluten and dairy free easily catered for and well communicated - they make their own GF pasta and it is great! Atmosphere is great, with the kitchen on display and very helpful and friendly staff. The food is fantastic - I took two friends from Wellington and they were blown away with the tastes and textures of the food. Great location to move on to local bars and venues after dinner too! Thanks guys, we will be back!
