Best Indian restaurant in Hawke’s Bay. They’re especially good at vegetarian, but very curry I’ve tried has had perfectly balanced flavours, which is amazing considering how many options they have. The staff are super humble, hardworking, friendly and will make sure you have a beautiful experience :)

Indian cuisine in the town. Easy to locate. Place has indoor seating only. Can be accommodated few groups. It was so quite on our visit. The menu has good selection ramging from veg to non veg. Meat is halal over here, halal certification on food is displayed. However, alcohol is served therefore restaurant it self not halal certified. Food is good. We ordered lamb biriyani, beef biriyani, chicken 65, and some non veg dishes with poori. Chicken 65 was full of flavours. We did takeaway as we were travelling. The staff is friendly.

We had a great trip to Hastings and were actually looking for another restaurant but it was closed. Then we came down the street and saw The Great Chilly Restaurant. Went there, had amazing food. Taste was well balanced and each and every preferences were taken care. Humble and friendly service. Great ambiance inside. Nothing to say but it was an awesome fine dining experience. Will visit again.

This was our second time getting food from here and again amazing. First time we got Kadai and Jalfrezi curries and now their chicken and pakora starters. Both times they included a free papad which was a nice gesture. We love indian food and this restaurant is definitely one of our top picks in NZ.

Great place for authentic Indian food! The curries are full of flavour and taste just like real home-style cooking. Everything is fresh, delicious, and made with care. Highly recommend this restaurant for anyone who loves genuine Indian cuisine
