Namaskar Indian Restaurant

My local go-to for dine in or takeaways, for any occasion. Fresh and flavorful, never excessively oily. Hospitality is incredible, always a warm welcome and attentive service from Alam and his whole team!

Great food and service at Namaskar. My father is a regular for the takeaway service and he recommended for us to dine in. The food was very good and tasty. A perfect recommendation.
We had chicken tikka and broccoli tandoori shared between us. The broccoli was done in a sauce before being cooked in the tandoori oven. The chicken was nice and juicy.
For mains we had the mixed meat, including goat, sizzler plate, the slow cooked lamb shank and lamb with mushrooms. We enjoyed the mains very much.
It is a licensed restaurant and we had a glass of good quality wine.
The service was very accommodating as we had to get one of us who uses a walker into the seating. We had a booth at the back wall and it worked out well.
The only downside was the restaurant was very noisy as there were 2 large groups seated in the middle. All their voices reverberated around and one of us with hearing aids struggled at times with the noise level.

An deem area which suitable for adults to chill with alcohol. Butter chicken sort of sweet for me but the lamb korma not bad it has about 10pcs of meat in it. Rice are free re-fillable as long you can finish it.we were there while the business not busy but we do found out there is couple of table is reserved for big group.they even invented children menu where children can do colouring on it .not harm to drop by and try others meal as I did not try all of it as well.bread are ok but it will be more great if the cheese filling is more on the naan cheese.

We’re from Waipukurau but when ever we are near Havelock North we have to visit our most favourite Indian 🇮🇳 restaurant namaskar………. The most delicious curry 🍛 fluffy delicate rice 🍚……. roti 🫓 naan
The staff offer the friendliest service and wrap our takeaways well to keep warm for the journey home 🏡
Tonight we ordered Chicken Korma and Goat tika masala along with roti 🫓 …. Tonight they also added for free some popadoms 🙏 thank you

Sorry for not taking photos before we started our dinner, the food was delicious and I loved every bite, hence the half eaten meals, 10/10 thanks to the chef and lovely waitress that served us , she couldn’t do enough for us, will we be back ? Most definitely , highly recommend the restaurant
