Pipi pizza café and pizza truck, bistro style restaurant

I had the Seafood pasta....sooooo nice...extremely tasty. The service was great. Beautiful waitress ...a smile that lights up the place.
Chefs are great.
Stoked they have Peroni too!!.
Reasonably priced (I eat in restaurants most nights with my work travel...).
I actually like the 'casual...relaxed...decor'...
Been here a few times now, as well all other restaurants in Havelock North, thiscis my fave.

Its always a good sign when walking down the road and you see multiple people with pizza boxes. We even saw a lady eating one in her car.

Had amazing service tonight at Pipi Pizza Cafe. We couldnt choose which pizza to have so our server suggested we do half and half! Was delicious. Amazing pesto and chicken pizza. Would recommend. Got a large with a side salad and it was epic.

My wife and I think it’s the best Italian pasta we’ve ever had. Half n half pizza was flavourful, the staff was lovely - thank you 😊

Decent pizza / Italian-inspired family restaurant in Havelock North. We came here as it was the only restaurant open on New Year’s Day.

The venue definitely needs renovations and is not in great condition; there are moulding awnings outside, the paint was peeling and the venue generally needs improvements. I could barely use bathroom sink as the taps were positioned poorly and it was either boiling hot or freezing cold; bad for hygiene.

The pizza was pretty good, we enjoyed all the food. It was a bit pricey for what you get, but overall decently happy.

Resturaunt choice ended up being Pipis, as I have never been there, what a great choice! I started with the garlic pizza and bean dip, and it was absolutely divine. The flavours were rich, buttery, and comforting, the perfect way to kick off the meal.

Choosing a main was hard because everything looked good, but I was recommended the mac n cheese, and it really was exquisite. I’m picky when it comes to mac n cheese, and this tasted like a classy, home cooked version with high quality cheese, a parmesan kick, and crunchy breadcrumbs on top. The only thing I would change is the bacon it came as a slice of cooked Holly’s bacon on the side, and I personally would have loved it mixed through the dish for that extra flavour hit.

Then came dessert… the sticky date pudding. OH MY GOODNESS! Rich, full of flavour, and that first bite was honestly to die for. The portion size is very generous and definitely sharable, though I didn’t share mine 😅. The only downside was that it didn’t come with ice cream, and I think a scoop would balance the richness beautifully. So don't forget to order a scoop.

Pipis itself is a pumping little spot with a great atmosphere and a steady flow of people coming in and out. The vibe, the food, the service and the overall experience were awesome.
