One of the most beautiful dining experiences we've had in a very long time.

Not only was the food flawless, but the service was exceptional. Almost every member of the team stopped by our table to chat, offer wine pairings, and guide us through the menu with genuine enthusiasm and care.

To start, we enjoyed the oysters, croquettes, and ceviche, each beautifully presented and packed with flavour. The ceviche was perfectly chilled and absolutely mouthwatering. The croquettes were rich, cheesy, and paired with a sweet sauce that balanced them perfectly.

For mains, we shared the roast duck and the gnocchi. Both dishes were outstanding. The duck was cooked to perfection, and the gnocchi was so good I'll genuinely be thinking about it for the rest of my life.

The room itself is stunning, the staff are beyond friendly, and the entire experience was a 20 out of 10. Every local we spoke to recommended this place, and after dining here, it's easy to see why.

This is one of those restaurants everyone needs to experience at least once.

Thank you, Chef Sam. You've created something truly special.

100/10.

This dining experience was INCREDIBLE!
We came to Napier specifically to dine here and it exceeded all of our hopes in every way.
We chose the "Trust the chef" menu option with wine pairing for my husband's birthday.
Every dish was a sensational work of art.
It was all DELICIOUS and the wine matches could not have been better.
Audrey looked after us as though she was entertaining old friends in her own home - such a wonderful lady.
Thank you to the whole team for a wonderful night. We will be raving about this to everyone we know ❤️❤️

We dined on Friday 27th March at this beautifully located restaurant in the heart of Napier’s art deco precinct.

Audrey helped make our evening at Central Fire Station truly special. She had excellent wine knowledge, was warm and friendly and carried herself with a professional yet genuinely lovely demeanor. Even on a busy Friday night, she remained attentive and made us feel well looked after. The service was exceptional, with perfect timing throughout the night

The food was beautifully cooked and well presented. The flavours were simple but absolutely scrumptious. Everything felt thoughtfully done without being overcomplicated.

This is high quality, upmarket dining, yet it still manages to feel relaxed and welcoming, which we really appreciated.

The décor is lush and art deco, perfectly suited to the Napier setting. The table spacing is generous, giving you plenty of room and a comfortable sense of separation from other diners.

We’d eaten at a two-hatted restaurant earlier in the trip, but the service from Angela here made our night at Central Fire Station stand out even more.

Easily one of the best meals of our 11 day trip from Australia.

We had one of the best meals of our three week visit to the North Island. Audrey was absolutely superb. She was so knowledgeable when it came wines and our food selections (and just an absolutely lovely person on top of her knowledge). We loved Napier and the atmosphere of the Central Firehouse was so special. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience. We look forward to returning for another impeccable meal on a future visit. Wonderful restaurant in the heart of the art deco part of Napier. We were seated quite quickly into a small booth like table which was very comfortable. The service was fantastic. Before we knew it we had a glass of sparkling rose from Martinborough. All the entrees were delicious but the standout was the duck leg with chicken sausage. It was absolutely delicious. I definitely recommend this restaurant for something a little bit more up market and great choice of local wines.
