Art Deco Masonic Hotel

We had such a fabulous time staying here! The rooms are so comfortable and well furnished, with nice tasteful decorations that manage to keep the art deco style while still feeling fresh and new. Amazing service, so friendly and those little personal touches really make a difference. We'll be back as soon as possible. Thank you!

This has to be the best hotel art deco in (New Zealand) Napier to set your mind back to the good old days. It even reminds me of Raffles Hotel in Singapore in the sense of the lost old times hotel comforts, huge open balonies and relaxation areas. I would travel back to New Zealand again just to be able to stay in this hotel for a few weeks and indulge in the old traditional rooms/suits with its comforts and old style ambience. Stayed with wife and two kids.Huge balconies attached, deep cast iron bath in 2 bed apartment style room. Even has cloth washer and dryer. Huge living room and main bedroom. To top it off, it even has The Rose Irish pub attached. Good food, friendly staff. Got to be the best kept secret in New Zealand. Got to love the black pebble beach just across the road. Photos galore. Brilliant!

Great hotel in a fantastic location. Check in staff were fantastic and very helpful. Room was more spacious than I expected - my brother and I shared a room and there was plenty of room for us both. We had an art deco studio with street views. Decor of the hotel is fantastic - love all the color and design. We got an amazing deal and it's well worth ringing and booking direct as they will match any prices and tell you about any specific deals. I would definitely stay again.

We recently enjoyed a three night stay in the Jean Batten Suite. The suite was very comfortable with a sitting room giving direct access to the balcony. The bedroom was tastefully furnished and the bed, very comfortable. It was a treat to have two separate bathrooms so not crowding each other when getting ready to go out! I made good use of the soaking bath. All staff were courteous and helpful. We enjoyed meals in the restaurant and pub, and it was very helpful to have an onsite guest laundry. I happily recommend this hotel, and would certainly stay again when next in Napier.

A lovely stay at the Masonic. A great place to come for a special weekend too. Centrally located with stunning views of the sea front from the veranda. Rooms are clean and you are lacking in absolutely nothing. Quality bed linen and toiletries are ample. Staff are friendly and helpful. A very beautiful hotel and you really do feel you are stepping back in time with the historical feature.

KKitchen restaurant staff were friendly also and delivered good quality meals, whether it is breakfast or dinner. The whole weekend was ideal.
