Cliff notes
- staff were lovely
- location is great
- cheap rooms
- dated rooms
- stains on carpet and curtains
- mold in shower
- no hot water in shower
- curtains don’t close flush to the wall so all the outdoor lights shine through the gaps.
- same thing with bathroom curtain so have to have bathroom door shut overnight but still shines through gap in door.
- parking spaces are pretty tight.
- tv remote on button is testy, took a couple tries to turn the tv on and off.
- thin walls, could hear our neighbour using the bathroom.
Room 6 L of the office was clean enough but ready for an update. It was tired and this was reflected in the price. . Appreciated morning refill service which was provided for teas etc and the road noise was quiet. The shower was terrible. Lukewarm at best and had to leave it running to get just past that temp. Mould in shower easily removed with paper towels soaked in janola and pushed into gaps at bottom for 12 hours or longer.
Handy to CBD if require and easy to get to coming in from out of town. Weather was lovely.
Our upstairs unit was large and comfortable, with a private balcony and gorgeous sea view. It’s true that the decor is a bit tired but the housekeeping service was great.
My negative points were that Reception seemed to open at random hours (not the hours advertised) and there was some difficulty using the guest laundry.
