I don’t know if this happens with every foreign customer, but I was welcomed in French by Mel (my very obvious French accent gave me away straight away). Her response: “Parlons français!”
I first thought Mel was Irish with her green adidas sneakers. I was wrong. But what a talent to have in an Irish pub!

Fantastic food: ribeye with proper “French” fries, and the wine of the month (a Merlot–Cabernet Sauvignon blend) was well above average by French standards. Which, coming from a French person, actually means really good (we usually say “not bad / pas mal” because, as you know, we’re a bit posh and very proud of it).

Super friendly place, great food, and outstanding service. All thanks to M.E.L.: Magic, Easygoing, Legend.
Remember her name and don’t wait too long, she’s leaving in a month.
