We stayed on the middle floor.
I suggest if staying here get the top floor we were kept awake with every footstep sounded like elephants above, and when it came to their bedtime up stairs let's just say it sounded like road works we couldnt even hear our tv...good on them! But to be woken at 2am and what sounded like the bed was coming through the floor was not ideal!

We had a very negative experience with our stay from the manager of the hotel and his communication. Studylink financed our stay as students but that payment went to the previous owners. So we paid again by card.
The issue was the current owner refuses to give the contacts details of the former owner for us to follow up on from our end for reimbursement of the double payment. He also misled our two booked rooms, although the were numbered 23,24 they were not next to each other. Instead there was a supply room and 2x stairwells in-between.
I also requested a children’s cot but that request was never responded to.
The worst part was his repeated offence as his personal past experiences from msd clients and references Studylink and msd clients as the same sort of people.

Lovely looking building, but a bit tired. Got an accessible room. Lip into room due to sliding doors. Open area was clean and tidy. The bathroom was roomier, but no hand rails by the toilet and shower were not accessible to me, as was an enclosed glass unit. I wasn't able to shower. But ok for one nights stay.

If I could give a zero on each rating I would. I wouldn’t recommend to anyone to stay here. Staff is extremely unhelpful. We called to book and asked for 2 double beds in one room, receptionist said yes that is fine. In a span of a month prior we called twice to confirm and to double check our rooms. Both calls said yes we were booked for two double beds. They never asked for our email. On arrival we walk to a room with one queen bed. We go down to reception, and we thought this was a simple mistake and asked if we could be changed into the room we booked for. By then we had already paid. We were greeted by a receptionist who had awful attitude, and didn’t believe us when we told her we called three times to confirm our rooms. She told us we were only booked for a queen room. They didn’t do anything to accommodate us, only an added single bed was all they could give us. The receptionist was very pushy to give us a refund and to find elsewhere, but it was inconvenient for us as our wider family and friends were also booked here, as well as a long weekend. I’m extremely disappointed at our stay, and the service that we received, as we were very excited to stay here.

A very noisey hotel too, walls are paper thin. Can hear thumping everywhere. If you’re wanting to relax, this is not the place.

Also I find it extremely inappropriate the replies that the hotel gives to the reviews on here and booking.com. This place has terrible customer service written all over, both in person and online. Please find another social media person to run your replies.
