Stayed here for six days over the school holiday period, under the new ownership. Praneeth the manager on site takes care of everything and was so friendly and accommodating during our stay. The rooms are nice, beds are comfortable and space is clean. We had a nice private balcony area off the disabled room. Sky TV but the weather was affecting the reception for a few of the days, unfortunately. Only 4 stars for the rooms as we did have an issue with ants a couple of times when the rain was heavier. Location is about 10 minutes from the main town and just off the main road, but you don't hear any traffic disruption going past. Thanks for having us! Will be back in the future. :)

I booked Asure to go to a karate seminar in Napier and came with my dog. I found the room (which allows pets) to be very clean and it did not have a pet smell at all which I was expecting. The room was really nice, clean and comfortable. Its near the beach so you can take your dog for a nice quick walk.

However the best thing I found was how the owner and his staff were so accomodating and understanding. After our last training session because our gym did not have any showering facilities when I called and explained the situation, the owner Sukhdeep allowed myself and my team (who did not stay at their place) to return to his motel and have a shower (this is despite having checked out in the morning). He did not rush us or anything. To me that was real customer service.

I understand from my friend who recommended the place that Sukhdeep and his family are new owners to the lodge but please don't let that put you off.

Thanks again Sukhdeep for allowing us to have a shower before our long drive back to Auckland. See you again.

Friendly hosts, great air conditioned room with all the amenities. Large spa bath, king size bed that was very comfortable. Accommodating for pets, we brought our dog. Location was really good, 5 mins to Napier city, great coastal and estuary walks right on the doorstep. Beautiful sunrises on the East coast. Westshore is a great area to explore with many good cafes and safe beaches. Overall clean, quiet location, comfortable and friendly.

We stayed at the property for Easter weekend. Clean, tidy rooms. Praneeth, who is the Property Manager is a fine, humble Gentleman. The main criteria for us picking this property was being pet friendly, as we have dog. We booked a One Bedroom Suite. Plenty spacious. 50 meters away from the beach and Napier cycle path. What could have been better was the couch. It had seen better days. Otherwise, this property checks out great. Highly recommended.

Beautiful setup!! ROOM #4
Clean and tidy, and very well cared for, with real attention to detail!!

The kitchen was fully set up, including coffee, decaf, tea, sugar, and even sweetener (only scissors were missing). Plates in the kitchen had a few food specks left from previous guests.

The bathroom was very tidy and smelled lovely, with beautifully decorated vanities and complimentary toiletries like shampoo, conditioner, and soap. The shower curtain was super clean, and the white towels were crisp and fresh. There was only a small amount of mould around the bathtub jets.

Couch in lounge was ok to sit for one, but too soft for two people.

We appreciated having TVs in both, the lounge and bedroom, plus access to modern programs like Netflix, Prime Tv.

The windows were clean and had great coverage, allowing for a good night’s sleep.

Outside, the front door area could use a little attention. The doormat had quite a few old, crumbled leaves, and the bench seating looks like it could do with a fresh coat of paint.

Unfortunately, there was a persistent mechanical buzzing/vibrating noise in the wall starting around 3:30 am that didn’t stop, which kept us awake for the rest of the night.

Overall, a very comfortable and nicely presented place, with just a few small improvements needed.
We would still happily stay again, but maybe not in Room #4, maybe in a different room that doesn't buzz at night :)

All in all 4/5 stars. Thanks for having us! Will & Bex
