Me and my husband travelled from Christchurch to Havelock North to visit our friends. Love the city and the vibe. So lunch time we were looking at places to eat, and we walked by this place. Looks cute and fancy and because we were in a holiday mood, we know we want to splurge.
We walked in to look at the menu, and we saw theres “soup of the day” (because it was raining and cold, soup sounds perfect!). My friend is vegetarian and love tomato soup but we have no idea whats the soup of the day is. No signage around, so of course we wanting to know. My poor husband was waiting for his turn to ask the staff, but before he can ask anything one of the young staff told us “GO AND SIT OVER THERE” (pointing to the sitting area), but my hubby said “oh yeah we just want to know whats the soup of the day is before we decide”, proceed to roll her eyes “Okay after I serve this people first”.
So I’m like… cool.. lets nope ourselves outta here… bad customer service.. not friendly at all.. I don’t understand the high reviews, but when I filtered down to low stars reviews, apparently things have not change since 8 years ago? Good on you for showing how Havelock North people behave with your “LOVE” signage everywhere in town👏🏻👏🏻
