Fantastic cocktails! As a bartender I’m always a bit concerned to order drinks from an unknown spot - but this place really nailed it. We just came in for drinks, and very glad we did. Great service, great atmosphere, and trustworthy, skilled, and friendly bartenders. Highly recommend to anyone in the Napier area!

K Kitchen has such a great atmosphere and is a really enjoyable place to dine. The food is absolutely delicious and perfectly seasoned.. you have to try the seasoning on the chips!

I had the lamb burger which was easily one of the best burgers I’ve had. Even the custom branding burnt into the bun was such a cool touch and really topped it off.

What really makes the experience, though, is the staff. Every interaction was friendly, attentive, and genuine.

Great food, great atmosphere, and outstanding service. Definitely a place we’ll be coming back to!

Very disappointed with the food. We ordered the butter prawns and edamame beans as starters, and unfortunately neither dish met our expectations. My daughter ordered a dessert, but sadly it was also disappointing. Overall, the food quality did not justify our visit.
On a positive note, the service staff were excellent—friendly, attentive, and provided outstanding service throughout our meal. Their professionalism was the highlight of our experience.

Found within the historic Masonic Hotel, K Kitchen and Bar offers a dining experience that attempts to blend its Art Deco heritage with a modern take on classic dishes.

Upon entering, the ambiance was undeniably cozy, with plush surroundings that felt inviting.

I started with the tuna tartare, which was fresh and well-seasoned, but I wanted some citrus. While it was enjoyable, it lacked the depth of flavor that I had anticipated. The dynamite prawns were a bit of a saving grace, crispy and flavorful but again, they felt more like a standard offering than a standout dish. I found myself wishing for more complexity and creativity in the flavors.

The dessert trio was visually appealing, but the taste didn’t quite match the presentation. Each sweet treat was pleasant, but none left a lasting impression. It felt like a missed opportunity to elevate the meal to something truly memorable.

K Kitchen and Bar certainly has potential. While the Art Deco surroundings are stunning and charming, I was left feeling satisfied.

If you find yourself in Napier, the Masonic is definitely worth a visit. I did not have the mains, but the general clientele looked very satisfied.
