The owners are very helpful and work hard to make this an excellent motel. The room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and well equipped with a large comfy bed, hot shower, strong WiFi and a very enjoyable spa bath in the room. Location is close to parks, shops, bars, eateries with options for wine and beer tasting either in town or a short drive away. Great place to stay for Havelock North.

The unit was immaculate, comfortable, and well-maintained, providing a peaceful space when we needed it most. Every request was met with genuine warmth and a willingness to help.

What a wonderful experience we had at Te Mata Lodge. We stayed for three nights for the National Secondary School Athletics Champs, and our accommodation couldn't have been more perfect. With a huge bed in the lounge and two single beds in a separate bedroom, it was perfect for us. The spa bath was a huge bonus for my young athlete. Loved that there were enough mirrors for both of us in the mornings (most motels and hotels get this wrong!). Loved the coffee and tea selections too, and the biscuits.
Our host was incredibly kind and welcoming, and genuinely excited over my daughter's success at the competition. And even enthusiastically helped with cutting up the hair ribbons!!! Thank you!
The rooms were immaculately clean. A number of restaurants were so close that we walked there, as they were just a couple of minutes across the road, same with the supermarket.
And lastly, they rang to say that we'd left something important behind after we checked out. Lots of places wouldn't. This was much appreciated.
