Beautiful visitor info center with great staff, all the info you need & amazing high quality gifts! We stopped in to grab some gifts - lots to pick from! Lots of handmade artisan types of gifts. Staff was friendly. The gentleman asked us what we wanted to see in Napier & recommended the Overlook hike to check out! We did & enjoyed ourselves!

The Napier Visitor Centre is a wonderful and welcoming gateway to the city. We stopped in shortly after arriving in town and it had everything you could need to start your visit. Inside you can purchase postcards and souvenirs, sign up for local tours, and pick up helpful maps of the city to plan your day.

The staff were incredibly friendly and happy to help point us in the right direction. They made it easy to get our bearings and figure out what we wanted to explore in Napier.

They also have clean restrooms, which is always appreciated when you’ve just arrived in a new place. Overall, it was the perfect first stop to orient ourselves and start planning a great day in the beautiful city of Napier.

Lovely botanic gardens. A few more labels would have been nice for those of us who don’t know all the species

I'm happy to report that Peter at this isite center was simply amazing with the depth and breadth of info he shared. I now know, through his words and photographs, the devastation and geographical changes from the February 3, 1931 earthquake. Art Deco in the rebuilding is a lasting legacy. Peter also helped to map out what I think is a full day's itinerary! The isite staff are the best! Thank you!
