Lovely atmosphere and you can watch the baker preparing bread rolls etc for the restaurant
Nice food and excellent service
We visited for brunch and had the smashed avocado on toasted sourdough, adorned with Hohepa feta and hazelnut dukkah. The bacon butty, with its toasted brioche and “Holly” middle bacon, drizzled in barbecue sauce. And don’t skip the smoked fish cake with poached egg and brown butter hollandaise; it’s a dish that is a favorite of many diners 👌....dishes are of the highest quality, so you will not be disappointed.
Pair it all with a spicy, moreish Bloody Mary and top-notch coffee, and you’ve got a 5 Star experience that’s hard to beat.
David our host was fantastic. His knowledge and suggestions were on point. Plus some great tips on other places for the rest of our journey (Poppy says Hi 😉)
The food was exceptional, and wines to amaze (always trust the local insider knowledge, not the price tag)
